DLX Luxe Paintball Gun August 28th, 2008

$1500.00, Buy now

You can almost see the brilliance coming from the DLX Luxe, Smart Parts newly manufactured high end paintball gun. The DLX Luxe (pronounced "Lukes") has already debuted at the NPPL Huntington Beach event in March, catching the attention of most of the paintball industry. Other than its shilling beauty, the Luxe is loaded with all of today's fancy technology, putting it ABOVE the "high-end" gun class and into its own luxury brand. Sure there might be a lot of "hype" built around this gun right now, but you must admit that it's p.i.m.p. The Luxe was designed to perform for tournament play, keeping in mind every player's need for general maintenance, cleaning, and configuration while under little to no time.

How much?
$1500.

Under the leadership of the DLX Technology group (owned by Smart Parts), the combined efforts of designers, pneumatic, mechanical, manufacturing and software engineers, multimedia developers, linguistic specialists, professional paintball players and leading paintball field and store operators have culminated in the development of the ultimate luxury paintball marker – a synchronization of style, raw performance and unparalleled customer support.

DLX Luxe features:

Xtreme Paintball on Fox Sports Net September 30th, 2007

The NPPL has arranged a contract for a 13 episode series on Fox Sports Net titled 'Xtreme Paintball: Beyond the Paint'. Beginning October 2nd at 4:30 pm (in all time zones), the new paintball television series will air a new episode every Tuesday for 13 weeks (hence the 13 episodes).

What's the show about?
Thanks for asking. It's not what you probably thought it was when you first heard about it. It isn't a game coverage show where they simply air the games at the NPPL like you've seen before.

The 13-part docu-drama series will be showcasing the lives, personalities and culture of the sport of paintball. The viewer will see the players as people before they see them as athletes. By using a wide spectrum of features, the show will breakdown the paintball industry with segments on globalization, Hollywood appeal, as well as the business of paintball and technology. -NPPL

Xtreme Paintball - Fox Sports Net SCHEDULE:
October 2, 2007: 4:30PM
October 9, 2007: 4:30PM
October 16, 2007: 4:30PM
October 23, 2007: 4:30PM
October 30, 2007: 4:30PM
November 6, 2007: 4:30PM
November 13, 2007: 4:30PM
November 20, 2007: 4:30PM
November 27, 2007: 4:30PM
December 4, 2007: 4:30PM
December 11, 2007: 4:30PM
December 18, 2007: 4:30PM
December 25, 2007: 4:30PM

I have high hopes for this new TV series. It looks promising. Spyder announced that they'll be airing a 30-second TV advertisement. You can also read more about the show at the NPPL website.

PbNation.com Bans NPPL - Who Should Be Crying? July 15th, 2007

Sometimes you just have to take stand. This is one of those times. - Ed President of PbN

It looks like the NPPL stood up before you, Ed.

PbNation.com is the largest paintball forum in the world. The NPPL (National Professional Paintball League) is a paintball tournament venue. They host paintball tournament events throughout the year with teams all sizes and experiences.

Now that we're all on the same page, it's my sad duty to report that PbNation.com has cut off all support to the NPPL for apparently signing a contract with the Fox television network that restricts video taping of other small paintball DVD companies like DerDer, Traumahead, and Monkey With a Gun. Monkey With a Gun brought PbNation's owner, Ed, a good amount of money through an affiliation with the DVD company. Ed (and PbN staff) were apparently outraged that NPPL would do such a thing. This obviously means less money for Ed and his site.

Even Paintballers Steal… April 20th, 2007

I read an article recently about a 15 year old paintballer that had his Dynasty Shocker stolen from him at an NPPL tournament in 2006.

As it turned out, the marker never left Florida, and was recovered this past weekend at Central Florida Paintball in Lakeland, Florida. Braccili was practicing with Team Sentinels, and he noted a Jacksonville Raider holding a blue Dynasty Shocker. He walked up to the player, later revealed to be a new addition to the Raider's D1 squad and asked to take a look at it. Braccili was shocked to see that the serial number on the marker was the same as his stolen Dynasty. LP, Brian and Trevor (who had possession of the marker) immediately handed the marker to Central Florida Paintball's John Smith and Smith called the Lakeland Police to investigate. D/S Smith of the Lakeland Police currently has possession of the marker as evidence.

It's almost shocking how ruthless some people can be sometimes.

There is no 100% theft-proof way to protect yourself from having something stolen from you at the field or through an online transaction. Unfortunate stories like these rise up all the time, and yet some people still don't learn. With the proper care and attention, you can avoid almost any kind of fraud or theft experience.

Today's tip is a simple reminder to never leave your paintball marker, accessories, tools, or any type of gear unattended at any time while at the fields. It's too risky and, in my opinion, just stupid :) .

Peace be with you...
And also with you.
