Kingman Training - UPDATED February 23rd, 2009

Update 3/27/09: Kingman just sent out an email blast announcing the official release date of their new paintball pistols, the Kingman Chaser and Eraser. You can purchase them in stores beginning April 3, 2009. Use their store locator to find the nearest store or online retailer to buy.

Kingman has released a video for their new Kingman Training paintball guns, the Chaser and Eraser. The video is very informative and visual, showing you all the different specs and colors of the two new pistols. It's only about a minute long, so it's worth a peek. They look very realistic as mentioned in my post only a few weeks ago. But that's what they were going for.

Kingman Training targets more "tactical" markets like S.W.A.T, Police, F.B.I and even some military organizations - as well as private companies that use aggressive forces. The Chaser and Eraser are perfect tactical scenario paintball guns best suited for a "real environment". These are available to the public, of course. Perfect for 1v1, 2v2, or 3v3 backyard games as well. All backed by the Kingman brand. You can't get much better than that.

How much?
Chaser - $199.95
Eraser - $249.95

“Kingman Training” A.K.A 11mm Paintball January 17th, 2009

On April 3rd, Kingman will be releasing two new paintball hand guns mainly intended for use in training atmospheres. The Kingman Eraser and Chaser use 11mm (.43 caliber) paintballs and 12 gram CO2 cartridges as their air source.

Kingman Training applies the latest patent pending paintball technology into this new life-sized marker. The KT marker delivers a true simulated weight and feel, comparable to a real hand pistol. Each “magazine” holds 10 paintballs and shoots up to 300 feet per second. Each 12 gram CO2 cartridge can shoot 4 “magazines”.

The KT marker will provide flawless performance, with increased accuracy and distance. This marker is perfect for recreational simulated environments and Military, Security, or S.W.A.T. training practice. -KingmanTraining.com

Kingman plans on releasing the Chaser and Eraser in 2009. No specific date is know at this time.

Compared to real hand guns, the Kingman Chaser and Eraser are now, most likely, the most "life-like" paintball guns in the consumer market.

Do you think this is a good thing?

2008 PSP Chicago Open Firing Up June 6th, 2008

In just under 24 hours the Bolingbrook Aquatic Center will be swarming with paintball enthusiasts and sounds of buzzers and flying paintballs. The 2008 Chicago Open is a national paintball tournament hosted by the PSP, and will take place June 25th-29th. Last year the Chicago PSP event consisted of over 2,400 players in the tournament, and this year is expected to be even bigger. The Chicago PSP event has historically been considered one of the bigger tournaments of the year, so you should expect to see some real competition on the field. Dynasty, Ironmen, X-Factor, Red Legion, and all the other big team names will be playing at the event among the rest of the lower divisions.

The Chicago event is ironically located in Bolingbrook, IL, a close suburb of Chicago. Its location is perfect for anybody of any age to come and watch the games for FREE. Personally, I was first introduced to the sport of paintball by simply watching the tournaments at events like these. It's truly something you need to experience in the first person, especially while it's summer.

For the people curious as to what the teams are playing for, here is a list of the prizes for each division:

2008 PSP Phoenix Event February 21st, 2008

The 2008 PSP Phoenix event is just around the corner. It is the first of 5 events being held this year between March 13th to 16th (2008 schedule). For the noobs, the PSP (Paintball Sports Promotions) is a paintball tournament venue in the United States. Admission is free. Personally, I've been to about 5 or 6 of the PSP events over the past few years and had a great time. They're tons of fun. Watching the games at the PSP are short and sweet, but extremely aggressive.

Teams should register ASAP, space is limited.

Even if you don't have a team, definitely mark your calendar 'PSP' with a big red marker on March 13-16.

Team Ironmen won last year. I predict Russian Legion to take the gold for the 2008 season.

Will you be attending a PSP event this year?
