Gotta Question? PM me!

![]() So you could moderate yourself? haha. With the current amount of members we already have more then enough moderators. You thread title reminded me of something I miss from PBA, the reputation system. Members who constantly make good posts etc. get more reputation points which gave them neat little ranking bars under their name.

![]() But there's a flaw in that system. Someone could just lose points just because they pissed someone off, or because someone doesn't like someone else. Gaining points was a good idea- for good posts. But the fact that losing them was an option gave the ability to members to dock points off others when they threw a fit.

![]() The reputation system worked fine, even when you could dock people, because if there was some suspicion as to why it was happening, the administration could give you your points back.
Just so you know guys, at PBA, I was Assistant Administrator, I had full Admin. Panel control and with Killa's OK I could change small things, upon the merge of the forum, I was basically stripped of all permissions I had before. If you want something you will have to PM Kyle directly because I was never given any useful control of anything here, basically all I can do is ban people, hell I can't even allow you people the Veterans Usergroup. It kind of pisses me off because I always considered myself and the "public relations" part of the Administration at PBA. I didn't spend my time banning people, but rather helping them into Usergroups and with any other issues they may be having, now I can't even do that. If you want something, you must PM Kyle Last edited by Sir Paints A-lot : 09-21-2007 at 08:10 PM. |

Here's what confuses me Kyle, maybe PBA mods can help me out. I was used to the Admin Panel, but I did view the Mod panel at PBA a few times. It seems here the moderators really can't do anything other then a straight out ban. I liked being able to alter someone's signature (not for fun of course, sometimes there were issues with giant dimensions or some type of sick picture). The thing I really miss is the ability to see the usernames of the newest members as that was how I used to tell the welcoming committee members who to PM (I can't do that anymore because I can't see who's registered) I'm not familiar with the technicalities of V-Bulliten, but are there ways to choose what can be used on the moderator control panel? I could be off, maybe the PBA mod panel was the same, I never really used it because I was a Administrator through 2 forum software changes, it just seems like there is really very little that we can do here. I hope I'm making sense, because I'm starting to confuse myself ha. |
