The practically naked dude is Manny. He actually went to the fifty car wash, then got the flag pull without getting shot. This was the last game of the day, we nearly didn't play because three of our guys were about to pass out. Since Dan, the other front guy, and me were still going to for a 2 on 5, two of the other guys manned up for it, giving us 4. Then Dan's dad, who was there watching and has played paintball like 3 or 4 times, said he'd play. Thus we had our 5. Ironically we nearly won this game, it was against a team that went on to take 3rd place. They finished this game with 2 alive.

Oh, and once again we beat the team that took first place. K.O.D., same guys who won last month.

Anyhow, it was a fun tournament, we accomplished our goal of proving pumps can compete with semis. Unfortunately this is probably the end of the team.

Back before Playin's post was deleted for saying that you lost because you were using pumps...

The first time that the NPPL did that Live TV thing, I think it was the Hitmen in D1 who used pumps. Well, it wasn't the whole team, but I think it was just over half that did, and I think they placed, or still did well.

I'm not encouraging you guys to play D1 though. lol.
Why don't you guys do something where your backmen use electro guns? That way the front can get closer to par backing? Because as much as you probably hate to hear it, 30 balls from each person will encourage the other team to move up more.

EDIT: I'm also not ragging on you. Just trying to put in some constructive criticism.

I understand what you're saying, but you gotta understand that a large part of the reason we did this was to bring attention to pump play and try to encourage interest in it amoung the newer, and even older, paintball players. Having a team of all pump guys makes a bigger statement than one with semis for backmen.

I do get what you're saying, and it would make sense under any other circumstance. Maybe in the next trounament we'll try something like that.

The Hitmen are an awesome team, I played against them at OSC last month. Damn good players with good sportsmenship. However, they are D3, not D1. I've heard about them playing with half semi/half pump. I'd like to try it cause lets face it, some times playing pump sucks. I do get pushed in a bunkered by people shooting ropes at me every once in a while, but thats part of how it helps me become a better player.

Have you heard of Pumpenstein? They're some pro pump team in Houston. Their guys are pretty badass.

Yep, I certainly have heard of them.
There's a lot of pump teams out there than compete in D1/D2/D3
Its just harder for them to do it on a national level because pump teams don't draw big sponsorships
